Restaurant ML is located in the heart of the atmospheric national monument on Klokhuisplein. The restaurant is situated in the courtyard of the former printer Johan Enschedé and in the old period room of the former residence of the Enschedé family. Chef Mark Gratama's elegant cuisine is daring due to the exciting combination of flavors.

The decor is sleek and modern, forming an excellent backdrop for the culinary sensations presented by Chef Mark Gratama and his kitchen team. From the restaurant, you have a good view of the open kitchen and can clearly see the passion and attention with which the dishes are prepared.

In the kitchen of restaurant ML*, daily fresh and exclusive products are used. Every day, cooking is done with love, seeking surprising flavor combinations. Chef Mark Gratama's style stands out due to his wide palette of flavors. His cuisine is playful and pushes the boundaries between tradition and innovation. Balance is a requirement for him, yet he is always seeking excitement. His well-thought-out combinations reveal his respect for the rich French cuisine and the inspiration he finds in challenging techniques from modern, international cooking.



Hostess Liane Gratama and the professional team Amber van Zon and Isabella Nanninga manage the restaurant. Together with sommelier Christian de Olde, they keep a close eye on the price-quality ratio in the wine list. It is therefore not a book featuring only big names from the classic regions, but a true connoisseur's list with many of their own creations that subtly complement the dishes.
